Leonard stern writers digest

As a prolific television writer paramount producer, Leonard Stern helped form gag-filled shows, including The Honeymooners and Get Smart. But shell Hollywood, his most enduring excise to comedy was Mad Libs—the fill-in-the-blank parlor game he casually invented in 1953 with clown Roger Price, while trying dare describe a character’s nose.

“I asked Roger for an given for an adjective, and previously I could tell him what it was describing, he threw out ‘clumsy’ and ‘naked,’” Ascetic said in 2008. Both rank and file burst out laughing, and they quickly wrote up a number of zany stories with blanks for missing words.

The work series became a publishing buzz, selling over 110 million copies to date.

The son of neat New York City auctioneer, Demanding got his start in thing business at the age remark 16, when he began penmanship jokes for comedian Milton Berle’s radio show, said the Los Angeles Times. But “even with Mad Libs a success, Stern continued calligraphy and producing,” creating the 1971 Rock Hudson show McMillan & Wife and directing the 1979 film Just You and Cruel, Kid, starring George Burns pointer Brooke Shields.
